There are more people driving than ever before. As a result, more auto accidents are happening each year. It\u2019s estimated that there are over a hundred fatal car accidents every day<\/span><\/a>. Deadly car accidents between 2018 and 2022 increased by 16% \u2013 that\u2019s nearly 6,000 more car crashes.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s causing so many auto accidents to happen? It\u2019s often a driver\u2019s negligence. Here are several kinds of drivers who are likely to cause auto accidents:<\/p>\n

1. Drunk Drivers<\/h2>\n

Alcohol impairs many senses that help with safe driving. A driver who consumes alcohol before driving may struggle to see in the dark, stay focused on the road or make safe driving choices. Drunk drivers are likely to swerve between lanes, run lights and stop signs and stop unexpectedly.<\/p>\n

2. Drowsy drivers<\/h2>\n

Drowsiness while driving<\/a><\/span> can cause many of the same issues that drunkenness would. A driver may not see obstacles, lose focus on the road and even fall asleep behind the wheel. It\u2019s often harder to tell if a driver is drowsy after an accident because of adrenaline.<\/p>\n

Some drivers will act aggressively, such as speeding, tailgating and brake checking. It\u2019s more likely for drivers to become aggressive during heavy traffic and construction.<\/p>\n
