A 32-year-old man was killed and his co-worker was injured in an explosion at a saltwater disposal site in Enid, Oklahoma, recently.<\/p>\n
The medical examiner’s office said the man was killed by blunt force head trauma<\/a>. The cause of death was ruled accidental.<\/p>\n The injured worker was listed in good condition at OU Medical Center in the aftermath of the accident.<\/p>\n The incident occurred at a job site where the men were working on top of the saltwater tank. They were using a propane tank when the blast occurred, according to the local acting sheriff.<\/p>\n The lessee of the tank, a private water logistics company, subcontracted with an energy company to do the work. The subcontractor employed the two men, both of whom were from other states. A representative of the water company said that worker safety was a “core value” of the company.<\/p>\n The results of the investigation into the explosion are now in the hands of the Oklahoma Corporation Commission and other agencies in the state.<\/p>\n
